Harvested by hand and pressed the same day, this oil captures the freshness and flavour of small-scale, traditional production. The groves are bird-friendly, meaning the olives are picked only during daylight hours to protect migratory and nesting birds that rest in the trees at night.
This oil has a vivid green colour and a fresh, fruity aroma. The flavour is smooth and rounded with a gentle peppery finish, reflecting the Koroneiki olives’ natural character. Being unfiltered, it retains some sediment, which adds body and depth, giving a rich mouthfeel that works beautifully for dressings, finishing dishes, and everyday cooking.
Supplied in a 20-litre returnable tub, the oil contains a trace of cracked black pepper to meet EU blending rules, though it is undetectable in taste. This minor addition is essential to allow the oil to be supplied on tap through refill shops like ours. Every drop supports a closed-loop refill system, where tubs are reclaimed, cleaned, and refilled hundreds of times. Your liquid refill is provided in a recyclable glass bottle with a £1.00 (500ml) or £2.00 (1L) deposit included in the price. When you return the empty bottle, you will receive a refund on your next order. Please give bottles a quick rinse and return them as soon as you can, as we only have a limited supply. If you no longer want the bottle, please send it back so that we can reuse it before it goes to recycling.

This oil is supplied to us by SESI Refills, a UK-based social enterprise founded in Oxfordshire, which supplies sustainable detergents, toiletries and household cleaning products. Originally known as the School Ethical Supplies Initiative, SESI was started in 2006 in a shed at a local primary school.
Their products do not contain harsh or harmful ingredients, including chlorine bleaches, formaldehyde, phosphates, parabens, phthalates, optical brighteners, and other damaging chemicals. Their products are also safe for septic tanks and normal wastewater systems. They are an Ethical Consumer Best Buy with an ethiscore of 95 out of 100.
