New from Caroboo comes a range of super smooth, creamy melt in the mouth bars made using carob instead of traditional cocoa. The result is a gluten- and dairy-free, vegan-friendly alternative to traditional chocolate that naturally has 45% less sugar, but all the taste of chocolate, that is much healthier for you.
Each bar tastes ridiculously chocolatey but is not choc at all. They are full of carob, creamed coconut and all of the good stuff nature has to offer! All other ingredients are either organic or sustainably sourced like Rainforest Alliance Certified cocoa butter (which means that farmers get paid fairly), and creamed coconut and organic coconut sugar that is sustainably farmed in Indonesia and sourced from a supplier that helps to empower female coconut farmers.
Carob is a brown pod grown in the Mediterranean that has a sweet and slightly nutty and caramel-like taste. It’s also full of fibre, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals but contain no caffeine, making these bars a great option if you are sensitive to or avoiding caffeine. There’s also no added refined sugar, but a smooth taste is achieved by substituting cocoa with carob which is a win-win as it creates a naturally sweeter product than cocoa-based products, meaning no additional sweeteners are required.

This product's packaging is 100% plastic-free. Please do not place the film in any recycling facilities as it will contaminate the batch of other materials collected.

Carob Chocolate Bar - Raspberry & Honeycomb Crunch
On a family trip to Australia in 2017, Charlotte and Darran (the founders) accidentally came across a carob-based snack whilst hiding from the rain in a health food shop with their very upset one-year-old daughter.
Charlotte couldn’t shake the idea of bringing this product back to the UK. Ever the supportive husband, Darran absolutely humoured her whilst she learnt the art of chocolate making but with a new ingredient – carob!
Once the concept was tested and trialled on every friend and family member possible, the reaction was unanimous. They had something that was special and something that they absolutely had to run with and that's exactly what they did!
